Photo Review of Orient Open Heart – DB08001W

This time round I had the opportunity to handle a rose gold dress watch made by Orient. This is an international model that comes in several variants including rose gold, stainless steel and all black case.

Here’s a photo review.

Overall, I feel that this watch is designed for people who like simple and elegant watches. It has a simple dial design coupled with a minimalist case that gave it an “all-dial” look. Even for whose who are not a fan of open heart watches, the simple design of this watch makes the open heart feature easier to accept.

  2. Dear Thomas,

Great pictures! You captured the luster of the rose gold finish with your shots. Lately, I have been awed by watches in rose gold. Must be due to my age. Seriously, I imagined this watch without the open heart and just a solid, plain dial….and it seemed fantastic. Hands, index markers, crown, lug shape all hark to the 60s-70s dress watch styling with one plus factor from this period…..the 41mm size!

    Cheers!

    • Good insights, Jun. It would be a nicer watch if it does not have the open heart. The case, hands and hour markers are a perfect combo. They should throw in a hack and handwind movement as well.
