Seiko released a new 4R16 model recently and I had the opportunity to handle one of them.
There regular editions as well as a limited edition in the new series and the watch that I am featuring here is the limited edition model. It is limited to 1000 pieces only.
The model number is SRP040K1.

Unlike the current automatic watches that Seiko sells in the local market, this watch comes with a inner rotating world time bezel. However, I must say the world time feature is a manual one. User needs to use the crown at the 2 o’clock position to rotate the world time bezel when using the feature. The 4R16 movement itself is not a world time movement. It only drives the hands and day/date wheel.
The limited edition model has black out case and bracelet and some pink gold elements found on its hands, minute ring, day/date frame, crowns and 24 hour bezel. Shown below is a regular edition (SRP037K1) for your comparison. It comes with stainless steel case and bracelet.

The watch is fitted with sapphire crystal and features a black textured dial. The hour markers are on the minute chapter ring which is layered over the dial. The watch is water resistant to 100m.
Since the world time feature is a manual one, they have added arrows on the world time bezel to make it more user friendly. For the same reason, they have made the crown at the 2 o’clock big and easy to turn. And by the way, both crowns do not screw in.

The display back shows the 4R16 movement and its “Tokyo stripe” rotor. The serial number of the watch, “XXXX/1000” is shown on the caseback as well.
Watch comes with solid link bracelet with folding clasp and push button release. The end links are solid as well.

Yeoman's Watch Review 
I lusted after this watch a while back, but could not source it locally. at the time, most online retailers had it for USD $300 and I could not justify paying that much money for a 4r16 with sapphire crystal and a W.T. bezel.
In the end, I moved to solar-radio controlled W.T. watches (Citizen Attesas and Seiko Spirit Digital LCD) and never looked back. Having the ability to automatically track DST setting for each city/timezone makes quartz W.T. watches much more suited and accurate.
I think the best mechanical W.T. watches come from Orient. I had the CFA05001B and the movement (46K40) was a gem. Independently rotating 24 hour bezel was a plus. However, mechanical W.T.’s can not keep track of DST setting for each timezone effectively limiting their use beyond simple novelty.

I am in Hong Kong and try to obtain Seiko Sportura World Time Black/Orange Mens Watch SNJ007. It is no longer being produced. Do you know if in Singapore there are places where one can get (new) older model watches? In Hong Kong it is very difficult to search as there are only small shops, but Singapore is a bit more organized!
Any feedback would be appreciated.

Try the bigger shops there. Small shops usually don’t carry the Sportura/Arctura and other “tura” models. If you are really desperate, try City Chain.
I’m not 100% certain you will find it in Singapore. Try the shops at Bras Basah Complex or The Bencoolen.

I have always been a fan of seiko 5 especially the one that had rather square shape full black. now a days that model is discontinued. Even now i am looking for a model that is very similar to SRP 040. Can i get it any where in India?
